UPGRADE TO 3.6 FROM 3.5
=======================
Copy the .EXE files to your ZWordz directory. No other files need
to be copied.
UPGRADE TO 3.5 FROM 3.4
=======================
Copy the .EXE and *.DIC files to your ZWordz directory. No other files
need to be copied.
UPGRADE TO 3.4 FROM 3.3
=======================
Copy the .EXE files to your ZWordz directory. No other files need
to be copied.
UPGRADE TO 3.3 FROM 3.2
=======================
Copy the .EXE files to your ZWordz directory. No other files need
to be copied.
UPGRADE TO 3.2 FROM 3.1 OR 3.0
==============================
Copy the .EXE files and the new ZWORDZ.DIC into your ZWordz directory.
Run ZWCONFIG and update your configuration file. New options in
this version include a minimum % of plays to be included in the
scoreboard and scoring method (average or cummulative). Once
run, ZWCONFIG will automatically make the necessary changes to
your configuration file.
If you change the scoring method from the current cummulative method
to the optional average method, you will want to delete the file
ZWORDZ.MP. This file contains the monthly high score. Since you are
converting to a average point basis, your monthly high scores will
not be meaningful. Simply erase the file ZWORDZ.MP, ZWordz will
automatically re-create the file the next time it is run.
If you make the change in the scoring method, be sure to play
ZWordz one time so that all the scoreboards are automatically
updated to reflect the new scoring. All current month user scores
will be converted automatically.
UPGRADE TO 3.0 FROM 2.2
=======================
Copy the .EXE files into your ZWordz directory.
RUN ZWCONFIG CONVERT to convert your ZWordz user file to the new
format. You _must_ do this prior to running the new version of
ZWordz otherwise you may cause your user file to become
corrupted.
Run ZWCONFIG.EXE and update the field for "Maximum Make-up days per
day".
UPGRADE TO 2.2 from 2.0
=======================
Copy the .EXE files into your Zwordz directory.
UPGRADE TO 2.1 from 2.0
=======================
Copy the .EXE files into your Zwordz directory.
UPGRADE TO 2.0 from 1.4
=======================
Copy the files ZWORDZ.EXE, ZWCONFIG.EXE and ZWORDZ.HLP into your Z-Wordz
directory. Then run ZWCONFIG.EXE and update the fields for "minimum % of
plays" and "door adopted by". Leave the adopted by field blank or NA if
not appropriate.
UPGRADE TO 1.4 from v1.3
=========================
v1.3 picked up some bad code. If you ran v1.3 you may need to run ZWORDZ
NEW to reset your data files. You may try to run ZWUPDATE and see if the
data files are converted, or you can manually change all the filenames
that start with WORDZ (for example WORDZ.HI) to ZWORDZ (example
ZWORDZ.HI).
UPGRADE TO v1.4 from v1.2
==========================
Copy the files ZWORDZ.EXE into your Z-Wordz directory.
UPGRADE TO v1.4 from versions prior to v1.2
============================================
Copy ZWORDZ.EXE, ZWUPDATE.BAT and ZWCONFIG.EXE into your Z-Wordz
directory.
The file names have been changed to be consistent with renaming of the
program to ZWORDZ (v1.1). Users upgrading from v1.1 or v1.0 MUST run the
batch file ZWUPDATE.BAT after installation. The batch file will
automatically rename the files to the revised filenames.
